Good topic. I'm writing about a similar one. I've said it to a few people already, but have you considered comparing classes offered at a school like OSU and those at Harvard?
this is a good topic... i think anyone should be allowed to go to college just because it is a chance to further learning and it is a personal choice. if they decide to invest in it then they should be given the opportunity, but if by government funding you mean that people who really don't have the drive to succeed and are basically given a free ride--that is wrong. also, the intellectuals saying that people should learn for learning's sake it really isn't a black or white issue because almost everything you do learn can be applied to a person's life, including their career.
Good topic, i considered doing it myself. it similiar to your first comment, not only could you look at the classes offered, but the atmosphere at the school or the differences in the demographics, it could give you some good stats to compare with.
